Okay, let’s talk about real life
Life is messy. It’s running late, kids’ swimming lessons, stress with your boss, 5am hockey, grabbing food on the run. It’s late night parties and 3am pizza. It’s spilled coffee on your new white shirt that you just bought last Saturday on a whim. Its a missed date and a night at home alone with chinese take-out and Netflix with your old favourites. It’s that time your parents told you that you were getting too thin or too fat, and you’d have to be careful because you were taking things too far. It’s always being ridiculed, mocked, nicknamed, shamed. It’s showing up early to help Grandma make Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing, and recalling the smell of your childhood wafting through the house as you continue the tradition with your own children. It’s park visits with snacks, it’s first dates, it’s failed job interview. It’s celebration, defeat, success, sorrow, love, fear, joy.
food is everything.
Hi, I’m Melissa Sharp.
I’m here to share a universal truth with you:
Food is more about who you are as a human being — your past, TRADITIONS, and emotions — than it is a measurable item to restrict or eliminate.
We can’t eliminate food. We can’t go without eating.
